City Hall and the Mandel Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023 in observance of Presidents Day. While I’m very excited to restore a sense of normalcy in our schools, I’m also committed to taking the necessary precautions to ensure we can open our schools for our students as safely as possible. Therefore, we will take a phased in approach to reopening our schools. The COVID-19 infection data from the Allegheny County Health Information News3080, The Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Moon Area School District has remained consistently low. Because of this, our district has begun the process of safely reopening our schools for in person instruction.

The City of West Hollywood is developing a strategic plan on Aging in Place to help the City evolve as a place where aging is embraced, and where people can remain in the housing of their choice as long as possible. Community members are invited to participate in a special meeting on Saturday, May 9, 2015, to share their ideas and discuss ways the City can accomplish these goals. To 3 a.m., The PickUp, West Hollywood’s Free Nighttime Ride, will celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The special holiday service is part of a recently implemented plan to expand PickUp service to include popular nightlife holidays.

The Opera Talk will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. The National Minority AIDS Council , will conduct a presentation regarding Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for community members featuring HIV prevention providers.
When people are infected with West Nile, the virus will affect them one of three ways. West Nile neuroinvasive disease is the most serious type, infecting the brain and spinal cord. Neuroinvasive disease can lead to death, paralysis and brain damage. The milder viral infection is West Nile fever, in which people experience flu-like symptoms.
